Mike Logan

Co-founder and Director, Mike Logan is an educator and mentor, devoting his experience and passion to youth in the Greater Pittsburgh area most vulnerable populations.

Mike was born in St. Clair Village in Pittsburgh’s Southside.  Graduating from West Virginia University where he had a Hall of Fame career, he was drafted to the NFL in 1997 first playing for the Jaguars and then for several years with the Pittsburgh Steelers, retiring in 2007.  He was part of the Steelers Super Bowl XL winning team. 

 

In 2004, Mike founded Logan’s Heroes mentoring program which includes student-to-student mediation, as well as student-to-staff conferencing to facilitate school performance and behavior change. Mike also initiates individual parent contact to promote parental involvement.   Logan’s Heroes also participates in de-escalation following critical community incidents, small-skill building group facilitation focusing on “Promise-Readiness”, as well as problem solving.

 

Logan excels at individual student mentoring that promotes personal leadership growth. In addition, Mike is also a keynote speaker and radio commentator.
