Vaughn Rivers

Co-founder and Director, Vaughn is an innovative, experienced non-profit professional whose energy and passion have spearheaded the success of numerous community-based initiatives for youth.

 

A 2008 graduate of West Virginia University where he was star a football player, Vaughn has dedicated himself to improving opportunities for young men, from coaching to mentoring to career development. In conjunction with his brother Jason, he developed a grassroots community initiative, AR3 Foundation, that engages hundreds of youth each summer in basketball and mentoring.  Additionally, he designed, developed, and managed a career development training program for young men ages 16-24, offering lifeskills, job readiness, and job placement.

 

Most recently, Vaughn facilitated a leadership development initiative with youth on a creative social justice project using multi-media. Vaughn’s strong leadership skills enable him to forge community collaborative, facilitate group meetings and planning sessions, and outreach, engage community constituents, and reach youth and young adults in a very dynamic and pivotal way.

 

Vaughn’s knowledge of program design and effective program management skills allow him to assist non-profits in developing and implementing effective programs. Vaughn is a dynamic motivational speaker, as well as effective workforce development trainer.

Vaughn and Anna Marie Mumich had worked together for several years while at Youth Places.
